MEANING OF LIFE

What is the meaning of life? It is a deep topic.

Meaning brings us to wholeness. Without it, we are lost.

Meaning in this context is the idea that some things are important and thus, carry meaning to us. They are the things that will ultimately make us happy and grateful.

So what is the meaning of life? This question is what all religions come down to, and why people think their religion is important - because it gives their lives a sense of purpose and meaning, thus making life more beautiful and worth living.

A flag can carry a meaning, so can a movie, a book or a song. I am sure the idea of Heaven is so meaningful to people that it makes them consider their lives in a new way, for example.

Imagine going through a struggle in your life only to have it resolve at the end. You're so tired and stressed out but it's now over. Then you hear a beautiful song that is about freedom, for example. That moment could bring a sense of meaning to life - hence why all nations have their own national song and people even cry when they hear it.

The flag of a country is also an important symbol that brings meaning and purpose, even in midst of great struggle. People are rallied to a mutual cause when they all subscribe to a nation for example - it is their own and they know the language and all of that stuff, so they get a sense of purpose and meaning.

For example if you think the wellbeing of Finland is important, working to increase it could bring a sense of meaning to your life which is the way to ultimately being a happy and grateful person, like we discussed earlier.

So indeed meaning is important but it is rarely made a topic to contemplate seriously or even journal about it. The journal prompt you could do might contain these questions...

What are the most important things in my life? Answer as specifically as possible here. For myself, I haven't thought of it so much. I think my family and friends are important to me and people and animals are also important to me. I think the happiness of others is also important to me, and I also value being a great friend to others. I also value my art skills and being good at what I do.

How can I put more focus into them? What kind of change would I like to create, if any? Maybe I could tell people that I like them more often.

If I had infinite power, what would I do with it? Propably I would set up a Heaven that has good food in there.

And etc. You can also develop your own questions if you want to go with this journaling exercise which is highly recommended and writing these down will only take you a minute, although you can do it for a solid 30 to 60 minutes too, if you'd like, or even longer.
